Amplify Your Students’ Stories with StoryCorps and The Great Thanksgiving Listen

Description: Do your students have valuable stories to tell? This November, empower your students to add their voices to an oral history of the contemporary U.S. by recording a conversation with someone special over the holidays using the free StoryCorps App. Participants in The Great Listen learn invaluable interviewing and active listening skills, develop effective communication strategies, and gain familiarity with the StoryCorps App technology. In this workshop, educators will receive free StoryCorps’ educational resources to introduce the project to students, discuss implementation strategies, and practice recording an interview on the free StoryCorps App.
